New Ladies skipper Krista Lavender had the perfect start to the 75th Season with a convincing 4-1 over promoted Thirsk 2s.
Marton handed a first senior start to 13 year old Isla Gallagher in goal after a couple of summer league games and a promising first season at county level.
Elsewhere the lost of a few players to University meant a few changes in position for some of the players, however the previous season midfield remains in place and continues to be the driving force of the team.
After a goalless 1st half something clearly hit home during Krista's first team talk with Mille Bean opening the scoring in the 36th minute before providing an assist in the 37th minute for Emma Drury who seemed very surprised to have scored :-)
Louise Smith added another before Millie complete a double with 7 minutes to go.
